It may not be so much
a lack
of knowledge as such
that holds us back.
it may be rather more
about wanting no convulsions
to disturb what we hold to be our core
and putatively unassailable assumptions.
There is a compelling need to subject our views
to critical reviews -
and to accept that our captains and our minions
may take apart our opinions.
We do not need to be afraid
to acknowledge that we have strayed:
to err is human -
to acknowledge as much can be more than.
